Enjoy a guided tour of the Ocmulgee River starting at the old Macon Water Works and ending at the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail in downtown Macon. Through this partnership with Muddy Water Tours, you will learn about the ecology of the river from its surface. Have the chance to see everything from the Great Blue Heron to beaver and possibly even an alligator. No experience is needed.

Zahi Hawass is a world-renowned archaeologist and National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence. He has contributed to and appeared in numerous television documentaries, feature films, and magazine articles about Egyptian history and antiquities. He currently serves as Egypt’s Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities and Director of Excavations at Giza, Saqqara, and the Bahariya Oasis.

Dr. Hawass will share exciting stories of his recent exploration and discoveries on the Giza Plateau, including tombs of the pyramid builders.

This Halloween, let us take you through an abandoned cave, into a mad scientist’s laboratory, and then into the Haunted Woods to face your fears! Wear good walking shoes, warm cloths, and make sure your will is in order! Not recommended for children under 8 (a free “safehouse” will be provided for anyone not walking the trail).
